Lawdell’s Obituary

Lawdell Cannon, formerly of Haines City, Florida passed away on June 6, 2020 at his residence. He was 97.
He was born on November 5, 1922 in Plainview, Arkansas to George W. and Mary Hattie Smith Cannon and moved to Haines City in 1954 from Missouri. Lawdell was of the Baptist faith and an avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time on the lawn mower taking care of the fields, as well as going fishing and hunting, in his earlier years. One memory of him was, he always was early to rise, eager to get outside and start his day, no matter the weather.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Virginia Cannon. He is survived by his daughters, Helen Hall Charlebois of Dade City, Florida, Janice Ivey of San Antonio, Florida, Barbara Stalnaker of Dade City, Florida and Teresa D. Cannon of Davenport, Florida; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, June 12, 2020 from 12:30 pm until the funeral at 1:00 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.
