Betty “Pat” Murphy, 93, of Lakeland, FL passed away on January 21, 2018. She was born on October 9, 1924 in Lake Hamilton, FL and has been a lifelong Polk County resident. Pat was retired from the United Cerebral Palsy Clinic in Lakeland after working there for some 25 years as an administrative assistant.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lakeland and she loved spending time with her husband and their family. Pat was active in the Red Hat Society and she and her husband supported the Florida Sheriff Youth Ranch for over 50 years.

She is predeceased by her husband, Ray “Grandy” Murphy and she is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Craig) Clark of Winter Haven, FL, Karen (Doc) Freeney of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Shannon Nesbit, Carolyn McCarty, Robert Clark; great grandchildren, Audrey Nesbit, Blayde McCarty and Keaton Clark. A visitation will be Monday, January 29, 2018, from 11 am until 12 noon at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City and a funeral will follow at 12 noon at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
